Clippings from ZDNet Anchordesk article:
Learn the Sneaky Way to Organize Text
I can usually take a hint. But when Liz insisted I write about ActionOutline,
the exclusive Windows software on tap at ZDNet LaunchPad today,
I was caught off-guard.
Turns out ActionOutline lets you store and organize almost any type
of information into the freeform outline. Notes, to-do items, bookmarks.
The program is intuitive, with an Explorer-like interface.
Once you've entered arbitrary text for notes, the program lets you:
- Arrange items using keyboard or mouse
- Cut and paste branches
- Place checks or tags
- Search information
- Print data
- Export to the external file
- Link to Web or local files
At first I thought Liz was trying to tell me my writing could use a
little more organization. Truth is, she wants to use it to organize
recipes for the big bash she throws every February. All I've got
to say is I better get an invitation this year.Jon C.A. DeKeles, Technical Director
